Luvo Gila is the founder of NSI Consultants and has remained with the company since 2016. A Johannesburg native, he has remained passionate about creating change in South Africa. His role as a Business Development Director has helped NSI facilitate projects in fields ranging from art & theatre in Tshwane to waste management and oil & gas in the Western Cape. His knowledge of impact investing and social impact bonds has provided insight for clients. Luvo is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, University of Cape Town, and holds a Masters in Maritime Law from the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden.

Alan Smith acts as the Director of International Operations, and administers projects for NSI Consultants in the US. Having worked as a fundraiser for UNICEF Norway, Alan is focused on providing fundraising solutions for nonprofit organisations. He also helps coordinate projects and identify stakeholders across different borders. His expertise includes knowledge of the Global Reporting Initiative Standards and the UN mandated Sustainable Development Goals, vital to sustainable reporting metrics. He is fluent in six languages. A native of Lexington, KY, Alan holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Louisville, and is obtaining his Masters in Social Enterprise from American University.

Ian Mkandla is a native of Harare, Zimbabwe and acts as the Logistics Director of NSI Consultants. He has held this role since January 2017. In his current role, he has helped lead marketing and research initiatives for projects in South Africa and the US. Ian’s diverse experience, which includes roles with businesses such as Syngenta Zimbabwe and Webtickets, has brought expertise to NSI. In addition, he has worked as a Director with The Green Bag Project, a community-based nonprofit which has provided mental healthcare resources to the homeless in Johannesburg. Ian is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand and holds a Masters in International Relations.

Doss Dunn is the Manager of Latin American Operations for NSI Consultants, and has held the position since 2018. Doss’ knowledge of Latin America is extensive. He has held roles in healthcare and agriculture, and brings us marketing expertise also. In past roles he has worked as the President of Dunn Solutions, SA and currently is the Project Manager for Un Panamá Más Sostenible (“A More Sustainable Panama”), a long-term nationwide recycling initiative. Doss is a native of Mt. Washington, KY and holds a BA in Spanish with a focus on Latin American Studies from the University of Louisville.

Veronika Krajcikova is the Manager of European Operations for NSI Europe, based in Lillehammer (Norway), and has held this role since March 2017. Veronika is very passionate about resolving environmental issues, and she uses her passion to guide her decision making. Her previous experiences include Amnesty International & UNICEF (Slovakia), and it has helped her analyze fundraising issues and create RFPs for nonprofits. In addition, she has helped coordinate logistics, acquire data and inquire with foreign institutions as a project coordinator for Un Panamá Más Sostenible (“A More Sustainable Panama”), a long-term nationwide recycling initiative. Veronika is fluent in four languages, and holds a Mgr. in European Studies & International Relations from Comenius University (Slovakia)/University of Oslo (Norway). She is a native of Partizánske, Slovakia.

Ebrahim Bootwala is a Business Analyst for NSI Consultants, and has held this role since January 2018. He hails from Pune, India and is currently based in San Jose, CA. Ebrahim has created extensive budgets for projects, cost analysis models, and consulted customers on business strategy. He dedicates time to research for grant opportunities in his current position. He has acted as a Grant Researcher for San Jose State University.Ebrahim holds a MS in Systems & Industrial Engineering from San Jose State University, and a BS in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.

Passionate about sustainability, research and data analysis, our social media marketing coordinator has a background in psychology and environmental sociology from North-West University, having completed a Mini-Dissertation on the social shaping of water security: Social dimensions associated with perceptions of responsible water usage among students.Tselane helps to promotes our reach, engagement and brand awareness across our social platforms, helping to centralise our international operations on our social media platforms with engaging content that communicate our vision and mission.
